Strand 1.3.5: Cooperation projects with Third Countries (lasting up to twentyfour months)

REMINER

Deadline extension to Wednesday 8 May2013 at 12:00 noon (Brussels time).

In 2013, the eligible third countries for the special action 1.3.5 are Australia and Canada.

The aim:

To support cultural cooperation projects aimed at cultural exchanges between the countries taking part in the Programme and Third Countries, which have concluded association or cooperation agreements with the EU, provided  that the latter contain cultural clauses.

The action must generate a concrete international cooperation dimension. The  cooperation projects involve at least three cultural operators, from at least three countries taking part in the Programme and cultural cooperation with at least one organisation from the selected Third Country and involve cultural activities carried out in the selected Third Country. Funds of between EUR 50 000 and a maximum of EUR 200 000 are available, but the ceiling for support from the European Union is  limited to 50% of the total eligible costs.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the general info about strand 1.3.5. However, i wanna ask that as the coordinator of the project, we have already one Canadian partner and two European co-organizers. Do we need one more co-organizer or no?
    Thank you.

    Hi Selen,

    So, you are 4 partners?? You as coordinator, two co-organizer and Canada as partner from Third Country. If it is like this, it is enough.

    To be eligible the projects should

    – ” involve the co-ordinator and a minimum of two co-organisers, the three of them drawn from three different countries taking part in the Programme;”
    – involve cultural cooperation with at least one partner from the selected Third Country; at least 50% of the project activities should take place in that country;
    costs incurred in a non selected third country are not eligible under this strand;

    Good luck, the deadline is very close.
    Best,
    Nicoleta

      Hi Nicoleta,

      Yes, it is precisely as you stated. It’s my art association and two co-organizers and one partner from Canada and we are all from different countries.

      We are pushing against the time as you can tell. We are actually looking for a cooperation agreement template to follow the necessary steps to do it right.

      Thank you for the help,

      Sİncerely,
      Selen

        Hi Selen,

        Unfortunately, there is no a cooperation agreement template, but you can follow the Executive Agency advice.

        The Cooperation Agreement must be signed signed by the legal representative of the coordinator, all coorganisers and all partner(s) in the third country(ies).

        “There is no template provided by the Executive Agency, but to give you an idea, the cooperation agreement could contain the following information:
        a clear description of the objectives of the project,
        a clear description of the activities which will be implemented in order to achieve these objectives,
        a clear description of the role and obligations of the coordinator and each coorganiser in the design and implementation of the project, including the tasks assigned to each partner,
        a clear description of the budgetary and financial framework including the amounts of financial contributions,
        legal aspects such as duration of agreement, liability, breach of contract, termination of agreement, governing law and dispute resolution.”

        Good luck,
        Nicoleta
